Chapter 0: Prologue
Where exactly did everything go wrong?
After opening my eyes again following a long battle with illness, I was delighted to realize that this was the world of a game I had loved.
After all, for someone who had been given a terminal diagnosis, this was a chance to enjoy a second life anew.
That was why I could even take the fact that I had possessed the body of an ordinary flower shop girl as a positive turning point for my second life.
However, there was just one problem.
The very first place where I opened my eyes was the Kingdom of Erandel.
In the original story, this kingdom had already been destroyed by the time the prologue began.
The mastermind behind its downfall was also the final boss of the game, a woman who displayed an overwhelming presence.
The ‘Queen of the Fallen Kingdom’ was currently still a princess who had yet to inherit the throne, concealing her terrifying nature deep within.
In other words, it was already predetermined that Erandel would be destroyed ten years from now.
Put another way, there were still ten years before the original story was supposed to begin.
I thought that had nothing to do with me, an ordinary commoner who had possessed this body.
If there was anything I had done wrong, it was probably that I knew what was going to happen in the original story and still didn’t flee immediately.
Since I had ten whole years, I foolishly thought I could take my time.
And as a result, I was now standing before the King of Erandel in the throne room.
“Beatrix Erandel, my daughter who carries the bloodline of the great hero.”
Where exactly had everything gone wrong?
“From this moment onward, you shall be granted the right to inherit everything belonging to Erandel, so continue to strive as the heir to the throne.”
I had thought I was nothing more than an ordinary flower shop girl, yet I was actually a princess carrying the blood of the King.
In a shadowy corner beyond the King’s gaze, the ‘Queen of the Fallen Kingdom’ was kneeling on one knee and glaring at me as though she wanted to kill me.
The back of my neck felt cold.
Someone, anyone, please save me.
