Chapter 71: Mother of the double-breasted fish (3)
Part 5
“As always, Nuna’s having dinner with family. Wait a bit,” Jeokranun said.
- So, you only see your family once every few days?
“You drop by at dawn sometimes. Even four days ago,” Jeokranun replied.
- Living under the same roof but averaging one meetup every four days lol
- Fire-element filial son
“Hey, I still contribute to the household,” Jeokranun protested.
Explaining that weekends meant kitchen chats, family talks, and nagging would only invite teasing, so Jeokranun let out a hollow chuckle and shut his mouth. The game was keeping him busy anyway.
“…Anyway, I’m doing fine with my family, so don’t poke your nose where it doesn’t belong. That’s a line you don’t cross,” he warned.
- Got it lolol
- Fr fr lol
- We know the line, no cap lol
Jeokranun didn’t hold back the smirk that slipped out. Sure, he’d had fallouts with viewers in the past, but now, established as he was, he sometimes felt they knew him better than he knew himself.
They could be mischievous, but his viewers had humanity and a sense of decency. When “Lee Yoonseo” crashed into his life with unexpected weight, their teasing had felt unreliable at first. But now, both he and Yoonseo had grown comfortable enough that it felt… safe to let his guard down.
“Flash in here for the engage—win or lose?” he asked.
- ChoiChoiChing true damage, half HP gone, stun, boom, dead
- What’s with the flash-in confidence lol
- Jeokranun, you watch champs reruns or something? Talking nonsense now
“Hey, I may suck at macro, but my mechanics are legit high-diamond!” Jeokranun boasted.
- Yo Jeok, you can’t dodge autos with mechanics, so shut up and protect the ADC
“…Thanks for the 5,000 won donation, Simhaecheungjeokun-nim,” he said.
The chat flooded with laughter. Amid the whirlwind of days, he couldn’t recall ever feeling this at ease. Why so relaxed today? Idly pondering, he maneuvered his mouse, dodging stray skill shots. These guys play so aggressively. One hit won’t change much—chill out.
A loud donation sound effect blared, startling him. His character took a hit with a loud thwack, but Jeokranun’s eyes showed no annoyance—only surprise, maybe shock.
“Whoa, Dunoenttutturuppappappa-nim! Thank you so much for the 50,000 won donation! But why? What’s with the ?” he exclaimed.
- Lololololol
- You didn’t see it?
- Eye candy
- Daaamn… too spicy…
“Spicy? What’s spicy?” Jeokranun glanced at his monitor, then his outfit. Loose clothes, nothing special. They’re not freaking out over a guy’s chest.
“What? What’s going on?” he demanded.
- Yo, teamfight’s starting
- You ate that spear, so here we go lol
“No way a single spear on top starts a teamfight! They were planning to engage from the start!” he argued.
Frustrated but focused, he noticed the enemy closing in—a 5v5 teamfight, the heart of AOS, was brewing. Their movements screamed imminent chaos.
- Lol you really didn’t see? For real?
“Thanks for another 50,000 won, Riceburger-nim! Seriously, what’s going on?!” Jeokranun shouted.
- Teamfight’s on lol
- ADC’s dead, ADC’s dead, teamfight pops, dragon’s gone~
“These guys!” he groaned.
His eyes snapped back to the game. The chat’s laughter was maddening, but game was game. Gotta win. This year, I’m escaping diamond hell. He could check the replay later.
Pushing the distracting chat and donations from his mind, Jeokranun focused.
Part 6
“Hahaha!” I collapsed against the closed door, unable to hold back my laughter. Worried the sound might carry, I glanced at my phone’s stream—Sanghyeon was too deep in his game to notice muffled giggles. 100,000 won out of nowhere? Gotta thank them later.
“Is this stuff that fun?” I muttered, looking down at the dolphin shorts hugging my legs. I’d remembered the camera only caught me from the waist up when I opened the door, sparking a mischievous urge. The result—and the reaction—were… quite satisfying.
“They really love this,” I said, surprised.
It was a simple prank: quietly open the door, show half my body, lean in with a smile, and slip out. Stream delay made timing tricky, so it was a gamble, but I didn’t get caught. Sanghyeon’ll flip if he finds out, but I was curious.
The chat exploding with every appearance, the donation voices, and Sanghyeon’s confused flailing created a hilarious imbalance. It made me think a Jeokranun-Yoonseo collab stream could be a blast.
Maybe the spam was too much for viewers used to my baggy clothes. But they’re good people—no weird thoughts… right?
“Should I try stockings for a stream?” I mused.
Sitting down hides the lower half, so it might not matter, but stockings seem popular. Maybe ask the quartet later.
“Seokyoon or Sungyoon might know about this stuff…” I thought.
As my laughter subsided, I stood, only to freeze at Junseok-hyung’s stunned expression down the hall. He saw everything. My lingering grin hardened; his frozen face was painfully clear. Sneaking in and out, giggling each time—what’s he thinking?
Silence stretched. I couldn’t muster the courage to speak. Clearing my throat, I pretended nothing happened and headed to my room.
“…Yoonseo-ya,” he called.
“Huh?” I replied, startled.
He saw it all and still speaks? My steps froze. I tried for a neutral expression, but my lips and cheeks trembled.
“…Maybe we should get counseling…” he said.
“It’s… a long story…” I stammered.
After explaining, I got an earful. Be more aware. Life isn’t just enjoying what’s given. Don’t treat your body lightly. When I said I’d planned to change before streaming, he snapped, Then don’t pull pranks like that! I barely got him to promise not to tell our parents.
“…No more pranks like this,” I vowed.
Oh, life—full of mistakes and corrections. I’d be more careful from now on.
